I enjoy working with individuals and/or families to help develop individualised nutrition guidance and support because no two people are alike.
It is important to me to consider the holistic self and deliver strategies that are backed by science. I am readily available to my clients and pride myself on being a good listener.
I am Canadian born and immigrated to NZ in 2002. I am married with 3 young children who keep me busy with their activities. I love the outdoors and living near the beach, so that I can walk my dog and enjoy the sea air.
I’m currently in the final stages of my PhD which focuses on nutrition and inflammatory bowel disease and recently won the Young Investigator Award for 2022 for New Zealand Gastroenterology.
Outside of my private practice work, I am a paediatric gastroenterology dietitian at Christchurch Public Hospital. My goal is to be able to help individuals of all ages with their gut-related nutrition goals and concerns.

"Stephanie was great with her feedback during the consultation and recommendations for going forward. I'm completely new to a change of diet, having never needed to change before in my life, so I was struggling with what is right and wrong. Lucy was very helpful on first engagement and suggested appointment dates with Stephanie. I would recommend the Mission Nutrition service." Michael
"I was after a second opinion on a way forward after lengthy period with little results and am feeling positive with a new plan to implement." Tina
"I was blown away by Stephanie's help in treating my sick bowel following surgery. I had no idea why I wasn't healing and was very unwell for months. She was amazing to talk to and is a specialist in her medical field. She prescribed supplements and special prescription to take, that would give me the best chance of healing, and most importantly not to have more extensive surgery. I hope to make a full recovery thanks to Mission Nutrition." Melanie
"My appointment exceeded my expectations! Stephanie was a wealth of knowledge in less than an hour, some of which was contrary to what other dietitians had told me which wasn’t working. Stephanie was so easy to talk to, and direct to the pertinent problems. Getting an appointment was prompt, and I got a follow up email the night of the appointment. Hugely positive and beneficial experience all round. Thank you so much Stephanie." Jenny
"Stephanie and Lucy were extremely helpful in finding right nutritionist and a time that worked outside of normal appointments. Stephanie was so easy to talk to, understood me and explained things well. Absolutely great experience, thank you." Hayden
"Stephanie was so helpful and lovely to talk to. I loved that she was not judgemental and she was very understanding. I felt listened to and understood, I was very pleased with our meeting and the follow up afterwards." Paula
"Stephanie was warm and friendly, but most importantly, her knowledge gave us confidence that we were doing the right thing for our daughter. We have recommended her to our friends." Lisa
"Working with Stephanie on my nutrition for my autoimmune and inflammatory disease has given me hope. I know I am doing the best for my body and I feel really supported by her. Thanks Steph!" Meryl
"My Crohn’s disease has ruled life for years. I have lost precious time with my kids being in hospital and needing bowel resection surgeries. Starting diet therapy to manage my Crohn’s has me feeling the best I have felt in a long time. I highly recommend seeing Steph." Kate
