Hi, I’m Tom. For over 10 years, I’ve been helping people achieve their health and performance goals. I’ll work with you to create practical, sustainable and effective nutrition strategies that will set you up for success. I run clinics out of Kilbirnie in Wellington, but am also available for phone and video consultations.

 

Whether your focus is on sports nutrition, heart health, diabetes, renal concerns, or you’re interested in general healthy eating, my passion is to build a relationship so I can understand what works best for you and design nutrition strategies to fit your goals and your lifestyle.

 

I have a postgraduate diploma in Sports Nutrition and a degree in Exercise Science, so am perfectly placed to support you to align your nutrition to your training programme and helps you achieve your performance goals. I love all sport and have participated in many, so I have a real understanding of what it takes to juggle training, nutrition, and a busy life.

First I listen to get an understanding of where you’re coming from and what you want to achieve, then I work with you to come up with ideas that will help you achieve your goals. The goals we set will be effective, realistic, simple, and practical. They will fit your lifestyle, medical history and preferences, and I will be with you every step of the way to help you put these goals into action. My practice as a Dietitian is very much influenced by my personality. I like to connect with people and think practically how food fits into their lives. I'm not a foodie, so I have plenty of tricks up my sleeve to make healthy food as easy and delicious as possible

In addition to my dietitian clinics three days per week, I’m a stay-at-home Dad to two young rascals.

I have played most sports available in NZ, and love being in the outdoors. If I'm not with my family, you'll find me surfing, swimming, running, or hopefully up the mountain skiing. In the past, I trained my arse off and ran a sub-3-hour marathon, which combined with my theoretical knowledge has given me a real understanding of endurance nutrition.

I have over 10 years’ experience as a NZ Registered Dietitian, and have worked throughout New Zealand and in the UK. I started my career in primary care, but have since specialised in renal nutrition, diabetes and sports nutrition. I love working together with my clients to help them achieve their goals.
