Check out this delicious Anzac biscuit recipe with a healthier twist!
These biscuits are lower in sugar and have less saturated fat than a normal Anzac biscuit, plus they can easily be made without flour if you prefer.
Makes 15 biscuits
Ingredients:
Adapt it: If you like the buttery taste of Anzac biscuits, you can use ¼ cup oil and ¼ cup of butter
How to make:
Pre heat your oven to 180 degrees
Place the oats, coconut, flour or ground almonds into a bowl
Put the golden syrup, sugar and oil (and butter if using) into a saucepan and gently heat until combined then pour over the oat mixture
Mix the bicarbonate soda and boiling water together in a small bowl and add to the bowl with the oat mixture
Mix together until all the ingredients are combined
Take spoonful's of the mixture and roll into a ball, place onto a lined baking tray and flatten slightly
Bake for approximately 10 minutes or until golden brown
