Overnight oats

Our Dietitian Julia makes this overnight oats (or bircher muesli) for her family all the time. It's an easy option to try if you'd like to avoid store bought cereals that can be high in sugar, preservatives and additives.

It's a prebiotic rich breakfast as it contains oats, apple and banana. Prebiotics are food for the probiotics (good gut bacteria). It’s also a source of omega 3s from chia and linseeds.

Ingredients and how to make:

200g wholegrain oats

500ml milk

1 apple, grated

1 banana, mashed

4 tsp chia seeds

2 Tbsp LSA

Mixed together in a bowl, refrigerate overnight to set and enjoy!

Tip: portion into large silicon ice trays and store in the freezer so it can be used every now and then in amongst other breakfast options.
